ParkSafe is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use the ParkSafe mobile application — and the short answer is: we don't collect it.
ParkSafe is designed to be a "local-first" application. All data generated or collected by the app remains on your device and is never uploaded to any external servers or shared with the developer.
To provide its core functionality, ParkSafe requires access to the following on-device data:
We use your device's GPS to determine the coordinates (latitude and longitude) of your parking spot. This data is stored locally on your device in a private database (Room/SQLite).
You may optionally take a photo of your parking spot. These images are stored in your device's private internal storage — nowhere else.
Your location data and photos are stored exclusively on your device. We do not use any cloud storage, external databases, or third-party analytics services.
You are not required to create an account or provide any personal information — no name, no email, nothing — to use the app.
We do not share, sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to any third parties. Since we do not collect your data on our servers, it is impossible for us to share it.
You have full control over your data at all times.
Our application does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. ParkSafe is safe for use by the whole family.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the revised Privacy Policy on this page, with an updated effective date at the top.
If you have any questions or suggestions about this Privacy Policy, we'd love to hear from you.
